Description
Ferrous Sulfate Tablets are used to treat anaemia caused by lack of iron in the diet or loss of iron from the body
- These tablets contain iron, a mineral essential in the production of red blood cells
- If you are pregnant or breast-feeding ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
DO NOT USE
- if you have an ulcer of your stomach or small intestine
- if you suffer from iron storage diseases, where the body contains more iron than it should
- if you have had repeated blood transfusions
- if you suffer from haemolytic anaemia (anaemia due to the destruction of red blood cells)
- if you have anaemia caused by a deficiency of vitamin B12 or folic acid
- if you are already being treated with iron supplements
- if you suffer from rare intolerances to sugar
